Hi all. Been scratching my head since 2 days ago.

I bought a new tank. Transferred gravel n filter media n plants there from old established tank. Cycled for around nearly 2 weeks already. Ammonia and nitrite 0. Test 4 times a day. But water cloudy. Put my fish in, they are gasping for air at the surface. What is wrong?

Weird thing is my old tank register 0.4 ammonia. Put my fish in, all swimming and eating happily. Am i destined to use old tank?

Some thing is happening with the bacterias,

Especially when u did major disturbance, on your soil and baseline, filter medias, etc.

Make sure u have good medias and enough o2 for help them to quicker establish in their new home.

Surface agitation or wc could help increase the o2. Air pump might help, i have no air pump.

Thank you for replying. Im injecting pressurized co2 for the tank. 3 bubbles per second. It is heavily planted. Will this starve the bacteria of o2?

O2 and co2 stand each independently, it doesn't mean more o2 will reduce co2, vice versa.

Practically, more health biomass, more o2 produced for the environment (fauna, bacterias and other living organism).

just be patient to be established. Theres some chemicals that could help the establishment, but never use it before. Im kinda paranoia with that stuffs.
