i think it is because you did not soak it long enough or you did not boil it 1st before putting it in your tank. i had those white worms too but my tetras ate them all up.

Yesterday, i found out there are some kind of white tiny fleas
on my driftwood. sometime they will jump out,swim for a few seconds then back to the wood. and also hell lots of very tiny white worm on glass wall and all over the tank.
Any bros can advice.

are you refering to cardinal tetra?
actually, i had soak it for a week plus. with salt and sometimes
pouring boiling water a few times a day.

erm.. i think any kind of fishes will eat them. and i had those worms because i only soaked it for about 10 min..
