Yah...i know it looks out of place. The tank's only 2ftx1ftx1.5ft(ht)...i didn't know the marble queen's gonna be dat tall. David gave it steroids or something. Tropica says height=15-20cm. Anyway, it's oredi growing out of the water.

Overall, i think the tank can be done better, but i'm quite tired of fighting the algae prior to this setup, so now just quite contented (& slightly wiser) to be able to get it up & running wif no algae....sigh...so far so gd...shld the marble queen be unfit for the tank, i guess i'd have to find a new home for it....

well, nizz found a good home for the marble queen in my "pond". It is now standing in the water (doesn't it need to transit to emerse form?) with the leaves sticking out. Hope the barbs doesn't attack it.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    Hi all

Bentan: Me got 72W 10000k PL in there.

Ryan: Can't remember the gravel brand, but it's coarser than dennerle's, & it doesn't look natural...i don't particularly like it, but bought oredi, so don wanna waste. If i find out the brand, i tell u ok?

Psanya: There's no hood for the tank...there was, but i removed it. Prefer an open tank...plants can grow out of it too! Plus....won't have heat prob...

Agreed. QUite hot...29 degrees. Dat's why i'm getting a fren fr the signage business to do up a 'stand' for my lights so it'll be further away fr the water surface...

I think 72W for 2ft tank quite standard. My formet 2ft tank had 72W and it was ard 32 deg, no problems. The inhabitants prolly got use to the heat.....

Is your gravel lonestar or Lapis?

Nice setup.... you might want to consider seting up a tank for competition. Good excse for your wife anyway.... lol
    Cheers!!
