I have some Java Fern 'Tropica' in my tank. The original batch from LFS (those tied to log) have nice leave with lots of side protrusions (there must be an English word to describe this) on each leave.
However those new leaves that grew in my tank have only 2 side protrusion (on each leave) that stick out like 2 broad fingers, very much like regular Java Fern in emersed-form.
Some times back I read that this is the regular behaviour of Java Fern 'Tropica'.
How does Plant Farms Operators achieve the ones with multiple side protrusions?

i think the protrusions are called fonds if i'm not wrong.
