what filter are u usng?
Had a 1 feet scape previous and was plagued with algae attacks.
Due to work commitments, i had to rescape for something that requires less maintenance.
This scape was inspired by one of ADA's tank where only 1 rock was used in the tank and also a scape that i came across in this forum.
The greens covering the rocks are hair algae i think, which i didn't remove because it looks natural and pleasant to look at. Only flora is dwarf hair grass which i planted into the pockets of the stone. Faunas includes a few shrimps, a group of pygmy cory and OTOs and Ember Tetras to add some color and life to the tank.
Pretty happy with it so far. Here are some pictures of it.

I'm using a Ehiem 2213.
I know the tank is currently over stocked .. but this is a temporary place where the ember tetras will be residing in. Will need to do very frequent water changes to maintain the water quality.
Looks nice... very clean and simple.
I've also encountered some fuzz algae carpet growing sporadically on the rocks and wood in my tanks, and i really like the look of them too.
I've always been wondering how to encourage more fuzz algae growth (while not inviting other less attractive algae types).

Yup, i feel that it gives the scape a sense of naturalness. Hmm.. i guess strong lights and lots of excess nutrients will encourage them to grow. hehe
and oh yes! Urban Aquaria, it's your scape that inspired me to rescape mine and keep it simple!

very nice! i like it alot! really looks like the scape in the aquajournal.
may i know what brand of inflow lily pipe are you using?
IMO it will look better if you use pure color sand. Currently your sand mix of white and black, distracting.
That happened to my sand-based tank too!
When i transferred the bogwood over from my smaller tank which had aqua soil substrate, a bunch of the soil also got transferred over and ended up littering all over the sand bed... i had to spend an hour using a pipette and long tweezers to manually pick up all the individual aqua soil granules out of the sand.
This is a wonderful little setup!
Great use of algae.
You have a good eye.
@hydrophyte i love your riaprium setups too! My next setup will be a riparium and i will definitely need some advise from you.
