    can it be done without co2, do i need fertilizers if i dont have co2, if so what are most suited for this tank

    tank i am thinking of setting up is a 1ft cube tank with a lawn of mass and a piece of wood in the cenre

    what do you guys think

    Moss tank - you might need to look into your tank temperature. It needs to be lower than 28 deg C

    yes, you need CO2 and fertilisation.... Co2 can come from natural diffusion from the air ->> water, while fertilisation can come from the fish poo and uneaten food. There is a short article on such tanks in the articles section. The most vital aspect is that you DO NOT overcrowd the tank and plant selection should be well-planned to minimise later maintenance.

    the same principles should apply.... the tank in the article has lots of moss and Monosolenium, which thrive in tanks with relatively low light, low fertilisation and no added CO2.
