Does most LFS sells H202? I'm starting to see green hair algae forming in my tank. Thinking of trying it.

nope. LFS does not sell H2O2. You need to get it from pharmacy like guardian, watson. Use for disinfection, normally called Hydrogen peroxide

    Re: A 2ft Rockscape

    A little update here...

    1) Halved the light. Only turn on one tube instead of two.
    2) Added gH up to the water. (Adviced by LFS)
    3) Added some HM to the left and right back ground. Once grown will trim to achieve bushy effect. (Please don't melt again)
    4) Looking for some Hydrocotyle Tripartita (Japan) but yet to find.
    5) Hoping to find some Riccia.

Spotted these cute creatures aka Panda Loach at Green Chapter LFS but didn't bring them home due to its price. They seem to be competing with SAEs for... ALGAE!

FTS (Japonica and rotala needs trimming to get the required shape i want but will let it grow for now so other new plants can take root.)

Try buying a bag or two of the feeder prawns at LFS to fight your algae. They are only 1.5$ a bag of 30 (estimation)

When you dont need them anymore just take them out and ....stir fry.

Ta da! Win Win Situation. G'luck.

Shrimps in general are scavengers so they would eat anything they can find. Just remember not to feed them

Also it would only cost you a few bucks. Cant go wrong.

    Re: A 2ft Rockscape

My tank was worse than yours when i was back from a 3 week business trip.

I was so close to buy a new tank and start again

But in stead i spent a morning cleaning the tank (partly). It was infested by BBA, green slime etc you name it

Torn everything down, went to LFS and bought $10 plants, $3 shrimps and start again.

So there you go, you are not alone bro.

Keep it up and keep doing until you get it right. Then you will get to enjoy it more.

You can get Hydrocotyle Tripartita (Japan) from fishy business. Roger brings them in from Tropica.

    Re: A 2ft Rockscape

Higher/more water change may help when you feel too much fert.
My own experience algae on HC/Glosso lawns is HAIR ALGAE. been through so much wars that i just yank what i can out then just trim the HC. Have the feeling that my excel dosage is on the high side nowdays.
Some other bros also tried that with good results, thou i don't try to have zero algae but rather have them at near to zero.

Thank you for supporting my Favorite canister brand, they are a bang for the buck.

Red nose shrimp, they eat all greens things. Starting from algae and ending with plants. commonly sighted at Y618 , Seaview , GC (sometimes). I always go Y618 and grab 10+...

it is very easy plant, should not melt easily unless it is already not healthy when you got it.
