thanks guys, it has been a good learning journey. i am still failing in HC though.. do not know why.. i contribute it to my high temperature. Tank is around 30 degrees up most of the time.

30C most of the time is not good. Are you using fan? try lower it down to 28-29 somehow

Wow... partly for the tank.. but more so for your determination.
Really enjoyed this thread, and your fight and journey with algae.... its turning out really nice.

    Re: A 2ft Rockscape

    thanks guys

theres something thats still puzzling me. Some new aquascapes here i see has very high light for brand new set ups with 8 hours or more photoperiod and people don't get algae. If i do this, mine will become an algae jungle.

i am more focused on growing the plant now and it has been really satisfying to see some plants growing well.

For HC, i think this plant really requires lower water temperature to thrive.

More water change, control to the ideal CO2, better current distribution and you wont get that much algae. Looks like your filter need some cleaning.

Nice tank bro, wat lights are u using. I have rescaped my 322 tank with japanese hairgrass and it's been almost 1 mth and yet not much spreading but growing taller. Worst is that some of them kept floating and I have to replant it every now and then which is rather frustrating.

Btw, my lights were bought since last year April so its coming to 15 mths so is this the main factor that not spreading my hg ?
