My simple shrimp tank

Just sharing my simple shrimp tank.. i know its quite bare.. i was planning to add new canister filter. i was thinking whether should i take out the sponge filter or leave it in with the new canister filter?? Any advise ?photo.jpg

I will say leave your sponge filter in. Your shrimps, and especially shrimplets, will love the bacteria built up in the sponge filter. Most of my shrimplets can be found on my sponge filter. I left it in even though it's not serving as a filter, but more as a diffuser for my other filter's outlet.
