Hi all this is my first forum question.

I am wondering why kind of test kit are you guys using to measure the CO2 content to the accuracy of PPM. Around my place i have seen before electronic PH pen for sell, is there a electronic CO2 pen also?

welcome to AQ. hope you'll enjoy your stay here.

to obtain co2 concentration, you'll need to know both kh and ph. then read the co2 concentration from ph/kh chart.
however there are some liquid based test that shows 3 states of co2 concentration (insufficient, sufficient and overdose).
and have not seen an electronic co2 pen. would definitely be a hot item if it is available.

    Thank you for the reply.

I had the 3 states indicator you mention but they dont provide the data needed so i posted for help.

It means another unreuseable test kit is on the to buy list if i am to take my tank a step further and another hole in the wallet
it seems this hobby is getting everyone to be a semi chemistry junkie huh?

I think the pH/kH test kit is rather impt as they give you the readings of the CO2 readings on your tank which is very impt for a planted tank.
