Ive got a pair of rams in my 2ft planted.
One of which has always been the more aggressive one chasing the other around.
Recently however, the chasing has extended to all the other tank members as well!!
Even the Otos are not spared.
I have no idea if it's a female or male but I've heard of rams being territorial when they are spawning or something like that. Is this true?
Any experienced bro/sis here with experience with electric blue rams?
    Many thanks

To be sure, you need to sex them first. Posting pictures of your fish would be helpful. EB Rams are not more aggressive than typical Rams.

However, if both fish are chasing away other tankmates from a particular area, then they should have spawned. I'd suggest you try and look for the eggs. They will lay their eggs even in a depression on the substrate.

    Thank you for the reply!
Ok shall try and get photos of them later.
From what I have read before, I think they are both males.
Also, the chasing seems to happen all over the tank.
    Just territorial perhaps?

If it happens all over the tank, then it's likely that you have two rather aggressive individuals. Rams typically only control a specific section of the tank during their brood care phase. Both parents will take turns to drive away intruders. However, since they regularly move their fry around as they graze for food, their "territory" will change every now and then. If you cannot spot eggs or fry then you might have two males.

    Re: Electric blue rams

    hello!
Thank you for the reply once more.
Yeah i suppose i picked one which was rather aggresive. It was chasing the otos, nipping at the corys and attacking my shrimps in the community tank.
My poor foresight. Should have housed them separately.
    Thanks again.

One way to somewhat control this is to have hardscape that breaks their line of sight.I find that it worked for my 2 feet tank. This somewhat reduces their territory to a smaller area.
Just my experience with a pair that has spawned thrice.
Do post pictures for a more precise sexing.
