    i have a three feet planted tank with all the small tetra fishes. i'm thinking of buying a cute pig nose turtle. Will it bite the fishes or try to eat them? please give advice. thanks!

    yes..of cse...the eat small fishes n shrimps.
    however, it wount be immediate...it has to catch the fishes 1st...but u can expect a few casualties here n there...

    I was wonder if it's excretion is poisonous to the fishes as well.....any idea?

    Pig nose is actually omnivore. Other than hunting for little fish, it may see planted tank like a salad bar . Also, they are quite aggresive with its kind, so putting more than 1 turtle can be bad.
    I actually have one that I put in koi pond, eating fish food and occassional vegie that I threw in. It got along well with the koi coz the fishes are quite large. Peculiar thing to note though, in koi pond it seems calmer, not swimming around as much as it was in a tank.
