Can be a lot of thing. Why don't you post your tank setup detail? Tank dimension, light, very dossing, co2, etc.
hi, need assistance...
my ammania SP has growth to a certain height, but recently realised their leaves are falling off 1 by 1 and the top leaves near the new growths are kinda getting their edges "burnt" or "eaten" away.... not sure how to say.
than before that my stergen repen that is planted all drop leaves and is not growing.. 1 stalk even die away...
really kinda at a lost. is it due to insufficient minerals or anything?
using ADA soil.

ok,
took some pictures... hope the problem can be identified... and need help to identify 2 plants and 1 fish
overall
is this ammania SP? how to make their stems red? bought it cause i like some reddish among the greenery. so as to have a contrast
the lotus leaves also showed signs of the "dissolving" or "mutated growth". can help identify the fish? the one with the checkered pattern. it is always facing downwards... but somehow i like it alot.. ^_^
even HG and SR are not doing well...
nana petite cluster seems ok. but realised 2 leaves start to have their edges "nipped" off
can help identify this 2 plants?
this one seems ok.
this one started off with red needle liked leaves. they are free 1 stalk cause i bought some yamato from Y618 and the aunty put 1 inside for them. so i try to grow this fellow for fun. realised it have red leaves i like it so trying to get them bloom if possible.
was thinking could it possibly be due to insufficient lighting? cause tank is like 22 inch deep and i'm running on 3 tubes of old t5 (2ft, not sure wattage)
I have the same plant you call ammania sp. I also bought it because of its red stem. It grows pretty well and at the bottom of the stem, a lot of roots coming out. However, the new growth was all green. [no CO2, using EIHO/seachem fertiliser at recommended dosages initially]
I am now going beyond the recommended dosage of fertilisers including iron (following by large weekly water change) and I see some red in the new growth stems again.... so my plant has red stem at the bottom, green stem in the middle, and reddish-green stem at the top.... (i don't think I can get the deep red you see in some photos without Co2 injections....)

just by looking at the ammania and the lotus, i agree with the speculation that there is not enough light.
the stems on the ammania are browning. I believe they will break soon.
Another possibility is water KH/GH.
Whats your water avg temp and CO2 concentration? Also the KH/GH?
22 inches = approx. 55cm height... that's quite a tall tank, quite likely not enough light is reaching the substrate level plants. Note that T5 light tube output decrease over time so your old ones might also already be worn out (could be time to change the tubes).
If you are getting new lights, maybe can consider getting the Evo LED lights, those are good for taller tanks as they have individual higher powered 3W LEDs with lenses which are designed to focus light further down into the substrate, and they maintain their output much longer than T5 lights too.
Once the light requirements are solved, then look at further balancing the Co2, nutrients and flow.
Without knowing any parameters,
I would jump in and assume a few things are not in order:
1. Temperature maybe kinda high
2. Insufficient lighting
3. Insufficient or the lack of nutrients (macro). Don't even think of micro for now.
4. Lack of co2
Definitely insufficient lighting,22 inches is quite deep, what type of lights are you using?
Did you dose nutrients?
seems like there goes my pocket money again... these evo led must be costing a bomb...
if i changing will be 5 tubes of T5 at 1 go...
yes,evo leds are expensive. It is cheaper if you change your tank size...
i believe your tank is 2 feet?
Be mindful that with 5tubes of T5, it be generating some serious heat
i'm thiinking of adding a reflector to my 3 tube set. meaning to remove the center tube and add 2 reflectors.... not sure if it will increase the brightness of the bulbs or not...
I would recommend against that.
In my opinion, you are better off with a spotlight of MH lighting.

For your consideration.
Or change with low light friendly plants....
Easy to take care too.
Why would u recommend against removing the center tube for a reflector?
change your T5 tubes or upgrade your lightset.
useful light that can grow plants better from T5 decreases output over time.
Adding reflector doubt will help much when the source of light no longer providing good light to grow plants. reflectors do provide better spread for lights, not increase lighting strength..else we all will be using 1 tube and many reflectors already.

another idea is that such a tall tank you can do a terraced aquascape with the rear of the tank much higher than the front of the tank. The plants at the back will be higher up and closer to the light. The lower parts of the tank, use plants that are ok with low light?
the scape is already a terraced scape. the back is almost 5 - 6 inch of soil. the front about 2 inch.
quite high from back to front. most prob will have to change all 5 tubes
