Hi,

The left one looks like Xmas moss.

The right one looks like java moss.

Comments please.

my guess: left is spiky and right is java

It does not look like christmas. Looks more like spiky and left is java.

Any chance the one on the right might be flame moss? I bought it as flame moss but it doesn't really look like it to me.

just let it grow and see. Once it grow, you should be able to identify flame moss easily.
