Help with water lotus

Hi, anyone has experience with water lotus? Bought a stalk from SeaView
Currently housed in some shrimp soil with 12 hours T5 lighting

Short answer is no, its not rich enough.

Longer answer is, you may want to supplement with root fertilizers for better effect. not forgetting the lighting.

Lotus needs a lot of iron. You can place monster roots beside the it.
If you want it to blossom, do not cut away those leaves that are shooting up to the surface of the water. Only cut those that looks unhealthy.
If you want it to look dense, just cut away those leaves that are growing too long.

Both are the same to me hehe. I got a couple of them in my tank, red and green leave ones. The red one have white flower with yellow trimmings on the edge of the petals and the green one will have purple flower. Be patient and have fun
