what about the bottom pics
it has exactly the same profile and black marking run til the end of the tail fin except the extra gold line above the black line and the black tip on the dorsal fin.
LFS say it's a indo SAE???
any expert can advise? thanks
It's a so called flying fox. There are a number of similar looking fishes but they're not SAE but from a different genus (can't remember it right now have to look it up). SAE = Siamese Algae Eater so "Indo SAE" sounds kind of self contradictory don't you think Trust the LFS to come up with such a name.
I have not seen them but SAE Crossocheilus siamensis has a number of relatives which I strongly suspect may look quite similar. Very importantly learn to use the scientific name rather than common name.
The real Crossocheilus siamensis

don't get too concerned with those "stripe extend til tail". it's just an identifying trait, one of a few that would separate the SAE from the other lookalikes. Only the real SAE Crossocheilus siamensis is noted for it algae clearing ability. Most of us do not have good experience with the flying fox in terms of clearing algae. It is a pretty fish, however, so you might want to keep them for that point.
look at the pics I posted, that is the correct one.
