Anyone who knows what this is and successfully got rid of it? It's expanding its Territory by the days lol. I vacuum the soil yesterday, got some off but the suction pulled out some of my HC too, however, I saw it came back again this morning...
Did you cycle your tank?

I rescape the tank (change soil, clean the tank and all the plants) about a month ago, but use back the old filter media. I reckon it's not fully cycle yet
Looks like some sort of fungus growth... i saw something similar in a friend's tank. He ended up dosing fungus treatment solution in the water column and it eventually disappeared.
We suspected that it was a species of underwater fungus that somehow hitchhiked in on newly introduced plants or shrimps.
Spoke to a LFS owner, she suspected it could be the decom that's breeding micro worms. She suggested water change and less feed as whatever medication she's going to recommend will lately harm the shrimps or plants.
Just wanna check are you by any chance using hc from Tropica?
Yes, how did you know?
I didn't feed micro worm before... Only frozen daphnia and fish fry food to the indostomus. Just added 7 galaxy rasbora and reduced the feed significantly. Going to monitor or the next week, hopefully the white stuff will go away.
A little update. The moldy stuff appears to be clearing from the soil, however, they start migrating onto the glass panel lol. Hopefully it will eventually migrate into "thin air"...
Mold will do migration?? Have a picture to share? Seems quite strange only heard diatom and green spot will grow on glass wall but mold too ...
Will take a picture of my messy tank, the white stuff growing all over, i'm reluctant to scrub it off until this weekend when doing water change.
Don't bother scrubbing it. It is basically eating up all the dead bacterial colonies that died when you did your rescaping. The mold will clear up once they run out of "food".
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
The white stuff seems to be clearing from the substrate and glass panels. I reduced feed significantly and only drop the shrimp pellets onto rocks instead of the soil. That's the good news, however, I noticed there are thread algae growing on newly tied fissidens... I been removing it manually, but more seems to be growing out and longer each day.
My lighting is 7 hours and Co2 is around 2-3bps, also dose seacheam Phosphorous, nitrogen and comprehensive. What else can I do other than removing it manually?
