I lodged some rabbit's hair fern in between some driftwood in my paludarium.
How do I keep the roots moist? Will misting by a humidifier work, where the mist condense onto their roots? Or will I need an ugly rainbar to drip water to the root?

Misting will do. Better don't drip water, if too wet the roots will rot.

You can wrap the roots in high quality sphagnum and then stuff it between the wood. The sphagnum will retain moisture and the fern will thank you for it.

Do take note, however, to use dried sphagnum moss instead of live ones as the latter absorbs moisture for itself instead of retaining moisture for your fern.
