    hi people...

    wana change my 36W 12000K PL tubes....

    can advise me which of the above is more suitable for planted tank??

    As long as it is in the range of 6000-8000k will be fine.

    The choice is yours.

    i still cant decide whether to get 6000K or 8000K tubes...

    i'll be changing 4 of my 12000K tubes....

    the higher or lower is better? wats e effect?

    In one of the Aqua Journals, Takashi Amano was telling the interviewer that his NA lights are 8000K.

    6500k tubes will render daylight colours.
    lower colour temperature will render a reddish tint.
    higher colour temperature will render a bluish tint (believe this is what you get when using 12000k).

    down to your personal preference really. do you want a natural looking green leaves or green leaves with some hint of blue?

    Must go for reliable tubes too.
    Some cheaper tubes I bought which are rated at 6500K looks yellowish after some time of use.
