    Hi Folks,

    Is excel still necessary if I already using pressurized CO2 in my tank?

    In my opinion, I think it is a good supplement even if you have CO2 injection.

    Personally feel that excel is no longer needed if you are already on CO2 tank. Unless you are using excel to target kill unwanted algae...

    Can excel be used for shrimp tank with no CO2 injection?

    Yes, I believe many forumer here uses excel for their shrimp tank.

    Thanks Hirowen, I was planning to try excel for my shrimp tank as at the moment I am injecting CO2 which some shrimp gurus advised against due PH fluctuations.

    Yes, 1 good thing about excel is that it will not affect ph level.

    why do you want to inject co2 or dose excel in shrimp tank? shrimp people normally half excel dosage. the shrimp may (likely) cost more then that bottle of excel.
    for co2, it will affect Ph conditions. even if the shrimps (i am speaking of firereds or higher CRS/BDS/BKK ect... ) survive they will very likely not thrive.

    I tried seaview. They only have those 5litres excel for sales. I think it can last me for few years if I get those 😄 I just need a small bottle.
