Anyone seen them b4? they look quite nice.

are they the result of selective breeding?

I think you mean the transparent tetras with multi neon colours, rite? I mean some are red, some others are green, blue yellow, orange etc, rite? It looked nice to me at first, after a while the colour will fade and looks really awful.

And yes, these tetras are man made.
    Cheers!!

Aww...those fishes...are so ill-fated, but once the dye came off means they are back to their own form =)

indian glass tetra (the painted variety), more the size of black phamtom/bleeding heart tetras.

    or golden tetra.

golden tetra isn't neon, but its almost completely transparent (yellowish transparent).

Guys, there seems to be another lighter colored neon tetra than the conventional ones either called albino neon tetra or golden neon tetra.

Sorry me did post or check the msgs here recently due to a dengue attack I have. []

the fish pictured by koah fong is simply another case of a creature mutilated by people who can't seem to appreciate natural beauty for other people who can't be bothered to know otherwise (usually parents of whining kids). In a way, it's worse than Luohans, cos the poor glassfish have to endure the pigment treatment (by dyeing or injection i believe), so it's not a matter of selective breeding even.

i've seen an ah pek longkang fishing in lorong halus!

or if you're brave enough, that monsoon drain at a traffic junction somewhere near sim lim square got lots and lots of fish!

"brave" cos it's right at the traffic junction where people wait to cross between the 2 roads (don't know the name). then you can entertain while others wait for the green light.[] [] []
    P-L-E-C-O-R-Y=M-A-N-I-A!!! YEAH!
FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.
