How to grow Alternanthera - purple

Hi, I just bought some purple Alternanthera. It's been in my tank for about 1.5wks and it does not seem to be growing. 2 days ago, one of the stem came off the gravel and I noticed that the steep cut I made before planting the stem was still the same!! There was no root growing from the cut stem.

It seemed like the plant just freezed and did not grow at all. Can anyone tell me how to grow this plant effectively? I just plug in an JBL iron tablet near the plant yesterday.

Alternanthera grows very slowly. Especially when they need to convert from emersed to submersed forms.

Give it more time. Do you notice any new shoots/ roots growing from the nodes? If show, it means they are adapting and growing.
