Hi, newbie here, I have a tank full of jap hairgrass and I am looking for a mid-ground plant going to be planted near the centre with height slightly taller than the hairgrass. Any recommendations that I can use? Something that don't creep and affect my current HG.

    TIA

You could look at using stem plants, like Hemianthus Micranthemoides (aka HM) or similar types of small stem plants. They are relatively easy to control and how tall they grow depends on how much you trim them.
