I have one... its okay lar... i suppose the fish actually look bigger but i can't tell the difference. The curvature is very slight anyway.

it will be a super great mess if it's going to come collasping down on you...imagine a 6ft curve tank nice nice...but one fine day it decided to give u a bit of clearing up to do and come crashing down...the mess is going to take you a whole day to clear up .
Cheers!

I don't think DEA tank was curved. Actually I'm quite sure that it's not. The reason the tank broke was becos the brace gave way and he did not fix it immediately.
I've seen some display tanks that were curved. Frankly speaking, it made me dizzy after staring at the fish for a short time. Maybe If I get use to it, then it wouldn't bother me so much.
personal preference for a curve or a normal tanks regarding looks. SOme liek it square some like it curve.
Cheers!

I must admit, the curve tank looks really outstanding.
Hi,
Just wanna know can you use a tetra scraper to clean this curve tank? Or those magnet thingie?
Alan, dun think so.. risk scratching the glass
Oh yeah, cleaning whould be a probleem.
Suggest using the phonecard method. Magnet scrub would not be a good idea if the glass is more than 8mm.

If u have the opportunity, Sam Yick at Simei Eastpoint has a display tank that is curved. Looks fine to me, & it does give the perception of depth, but agree with the rest abv abt cleaning probs.

I own a 2' tank with a curve front. I think it is from Ocean Free. I like it because it does not have joints in front. Only have 3 pieces of glass: front(L&R), back and bottom. Looks great. Bought it at Petmart. I saw a number of similar tanks at Superstars. Can try there... quite friendly people there.
BTW, I don't have problem cleaning. Scrub L-R rather than up-down. Anyway, algae in my tank is history... no need to scrub anymore.

B328 Clementi has a sample of the "Ocean Free" curved tank at its entrance. 4 or 5 feet.
Cheers!

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

My so-call secret weapon is actually my plants. Use some fast growing plants to suck up excess nutrients... like Hygrophila deformis... monitor your NO3 and PO4... don't overfeed.----------------

Overfeeding is usually the main cause of Algae i suppose.
Cheers!

Beware of fertilisers containing P. I ever used oceanfree monster roots... contains P205. PO4 level went up and algae came back.
