I recently planted a second batch of glosso as the first batch seems to have very small leaves although they are spreading. Second batch of glosso have really big and nice leaves. Second batch of glosso is spreading much faster, and new leaves is also much bigger.

Both batches are residing in the same tank close a inch apart from each other. Planting method, submerged.
1st batch - 2 mths in my tank
2nd batch - 1.5 weeks in my tank

Are there different type of glosso in the mkt?
Or is it because the first batch hasn't develop good rooting system yet?

Thanks for all help in advance

there is a rare mini glosso released anubias. it's called mini glosso aka elatine hydropiper. it can only be found in east ocean aquatics currently. there might also be another plant that is similar to glosso but I just can't remember the name right now

no idea, I'm bad at plants, just started not too long ago, but I'm pretty sure shadow from AQ can identify it easily.
mini glosso growth is classified as medium while normal glosso is at fast.

All glosso, but grown in different enviroment.

the new one is emerse leaf form, should be quite mature patch imo.

the creeping is it very slow? for the older batch. it could be signs of stunted growth.

Hmm.. But they are in the same tank, if the first batch is suffering stunt growth, shouldn't it be the same for the new patch?

The creeping one, is very slow. Should I remove it and replace with the new glosso?

no need replace, stunted growth has to do with environment your growing it in.

what kind of lighting your using now? just to reference the growth take weekly pictures.

Just wait and see, it will take a while for stunt plant to grow to original size. or Maybe after 2 month your new batch turn small also . Anyway isn't it small look nice? more compact and make your tank look bigger.

Re: Help needed from glosso experts

Google for picture and compare, generally, glosso is bigger than hc by a fair size, and glosso look more like sprouting green bean. hc is one of the smallest aquatic plant.

Yes, CO2 and highlight is required if you want them to grow sideways. I have them previously without CO2 and running on 2xT5Ho and they grow straight up.
