    Hello,

Was talking to one of the workers at Teo's today and according to him, the long type of hairgrass is easier to grow and less demanding than the short type.

    Is this true?

just don't get those that produce plantlets from the tip of their leaves!
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

You will have a great time snipping off the tops. Pretty messy
with all the "VVV" plantlets on the top and not nice IMHO.
However, its quite easy, just like cutting hair.

I believe you got to look around, did some reading and found out that there are over 100 species of hairgrass.

But, is it true that the long type are easier to grow and less demanding as compared to the short ones?

hmm.. what's so bad about this split end hair grass? :P

    look what amano got here!

if i am wrong in iding the hairgrass in this pic, i am pretty confident that the split end hair grass can create the same effect.
