Setting up planted tank is really back-breaking. After all the effort, hopes the plants will flourish.

Having problem uploading photo from phone. Will try again when I'm back from business trip on thursday. Anyway, not very nice scape as I try to put everything I want without a proper theme. Like rojak.

Please don't use short text abbreviation...

Wildbear you can rinse your bio media with tank water during water change.

What I used to do is to fill a wide pail with tank water. Remove the media basket and just give it a jiggle and most of the muck will come off.

Change you wool, but cut off a small piece of the old one and place it togather.

Here are some pictures on the set-up from a beginner using ADA soil. Please few free to comment.
    substrate powder

    lava rocks

    base soil

    top soil

so tired, did not record rest of the steps. here's after the planting and filling up the tank.

co2 and 55watts super PL lights 2 hours in morning and 2 hours night time. will increase dosages when plant grows.
Any comment? hope I didn't miss anything.
