    Hi all,
Anyone knows what this plant is?
y618 uncle told me, its a crypt, but not sure which one. Grows slowly.

What i did not count on was that its so slow..
planted in Mid June. the plant has not changed... at all.

around the same area in the tank are
    downoi
    tiger lotus
    crypt wentii
    e tenullus

all are growing, downoi is slow, but still can tell there are changes.

Hesitant to pluck it out and see if the roots have grown. because if its a crypt and undergoing dormant stages... plucking it out will reset its "setting in" stage right?
I am balding but i am still young!

It's definitely a crypto looks like a Lucian or a Wendtii Green.

Cryptos can stay dormant for quite a while up to 3 months I have experienced. You are already lucky it did not melt on you.

Do you have Iron and CaCO3? If you do, stuff them near and/or under the plant it helps. Can you remember Root Monster or the JBL ball thingy, its also a big help. Your water column fertilization is no use to them.

What ever you do, do not pluck it out. They don't react well to movements.

    Thanks David,

i injected some macros and micros directly into the soil around it... no joy there.
ran out of CaNO3 and no iron, maybe i go get some.

I have looked that lucens, does not seem to be that. uncle told me that when grown, its quite huge. Asked me to leave a radius of 10cm around it. Also, the center will be red when larger.

I not so sure. Because I am quite sure those are already submersed leaves and if they are emersed, it would have melted by now.

If they do get size mentioned, more likely a Wentii Green.

    Thanks for the generous gesture!
I am not sure whether I can make it on the 28th. Sad.

I have some monster balls or something. I will go and try those.
