the branchy ones are nice, i think we can only find them, nearest, in malaysia's rivers.

You folks might want to look at some of the wood we have here.
These are some pieces we found on the plant fest this year.
We also will have some nice pictures of alligator gar in a plant tank.
These are large suitable fish for planted tanks, very pretty and interesting additions something like an Aro. They live here so I catch these and add them to my tanks. Flagfish and many other algae eating fish live here also.

Go out when the water is low in the dry season, that's when you will find the most and the fewest biting insects.
Yes, you folks should be able to find some very nice pieces.
Almost everywhere I have lived has some nice wood locally.
It's god awful hot here and rains all the time so it's likely not too far off from the weather there except it does get colder here and drier in the winter for about 3 months.
Get out there and look for wood!

yeah, the only places we (Hobbyist in SG) can find such driftwood is in Malaysia.. But it is surely a nice thought of having to go search for a nice driftwood for our tanks
That wood I have on the site has been sold for 300$.
You might consider gouing to Malayasia more often
I will get some nice pieces for Amano when he comes here in Nov, he complained about the wood here last time.
I will take care of that.

Wow 300 bucks! That's 500 plus Sing Dollars!!!
Yes, you can pay for your hobby with planted aquariums with the plants and the decore.
I can dump rock out in the sea here and come back 2-3 months later and sell it as live rock covered with macro algae for 10-15$ kg.
Crypts are also easy to raise here outside and command a decent price to a small market.
The live rock market is large though and no one sell macro algae here except for a few common species.
