Call GC first if Roland still selling this if not Petmart. But you need to place an order for this. If you have this pricey, then ask Roland to give you the best price for Mistking product. then you can compare RS400 and Mistking in terms of price and the application.

    Or alternative

DIY yourself. I did it anyway.

Thanks Eddy, how often do we need to mist plants in an open tank? Right now, I'm using a hand spray bottle.

If you want to reduce misting your flora, I suggest you cover the opening tank with either acrylic sheet or glass sheet to induce and retain high RH to moisture your flora for long long time. hope this will help you.

Yeah, is true. So do you still have any vampire crabs inside your tank?

If yes, you may try DIY small little fan(5w, normally to cool the processor) to blow in some cool air with a minimum effect on RH. Try to maintain at least 70% RH and 37 to 38 Deg to keep your Vampire crab alive. Use acrylic sheet instead for a fan mount it.

    hope this will help you.

Yup, still have. Currently tank open, but misting with spray bottle.

How did you DIY your mist system

Okay, check the price of the RS400 and the complete set of Mistking first then you decide the price of both units yourself. After that let me know if you decide to DIY the cheaper source.

Does a water pump has pressure high enough to push water through those nozzles?

Maybe you really need to go down to Petmart and take a good look at it. For what I know the pump is designed to fit its own designation misting nozzles but I not too sure about what kind of pump the RS400 is using. I know there is a bro in this vivarium section got the RS4000 but I can't remember his nick. Hopefully, if he see your thread , he will not hesitate to advise you straight away! Have you check with GC the Mistking product yet?
    cheers

    Re: EXO Terra Monsoon RS400

Just to advise, don't buy RS400 from overseas. As the plug will be in US version. Need to convert.
Secondly no warranty and RS400 have the tendency of the timer to spoil and will mist on itself as and when it wants.
So I highly recommend mist king as a better choice, but again the price is definitely more pricy. Just my opinion.

Well, locally it's 200 and 220 for exo and mistking respectively. Only one has to DIY the reservoir

    Re: EXO Terra Monsoon RS400

So you are using 2ft to 3ft tank for your build, by using DIY reservoir is a bad idea. what is you mist it every day and sooner or later, your build will flood and your vampire crabs will eventually like this

I suggest you if you are using canisterfor either waterfall and flitering ,then you can use this misting for your DIY project. Is like this.. the drill a diameter of 4mm hole on the outlet tube from the canister, then insert the black tubing of 4mm diameter to fix into the 4mm dia hole tight. From the tubing (while the tubing inside the canister outlet hose) to the mistking pump then from the pump to mist your palu. So from there, you will save the trouble of being worry your palu will get flood.

    hope this will help
    cheers

The mist king starter set only comes with a single nozzle. You also need to DIY the suction cap or clamp to hold the nozzle, not only the reservoir.
I would recommend to get the ultimate value setup from GC.
