Fucata Rainbow Fish

Hi,

Anyone have any experience in keeping this fish. I am thinking of adding a couple to my planted tank.

I current have a Hi Fin Swordtail and Malayan Shrimp in the tank. Will the Furcata nip fins or attack shrimps?

The Swordtail and Malayan are living in peace in my aquarium so I don't want to add in fishes that disturb the peace in the tank now.

I use to have fucata together with my malayan shrimp. They are fast swimmers and top dwellers. Normally, fishes will be curious and try a few curious nip, but nothing the shrimps cannot handle.

oh.. try to get a few mix genders. the male will show case their dance and fight to gain the female attention.

Sounds interesting. Was think of getting about 5 pieces.

The one that I saw are very young, not so easy to tell male from female. I will try my luck

Good to hear that. I need to choose the fishes carefully because once I release them into the tank, I will be near impossible to catch them out without destroying the scape.
