    I bought 5 of these guys from Y618 a few hours ago, and they were labelled as "Freshwater Seahorse". Have any of you kept them as aquarium pets before? I'm currently feeding them Daphnia under recommendation from the uncle. If you have kept them before, have they ever bred? Also, how long did they live?



    I am actually a new freshwater tank owner and I'm slightly worried that they may be a difficult species to maintain. I say "slightly" because they seem to be enjoying themselves right now.

    These are young Doryichthys, of which species I am not sure of. They require live and frozen foods to survive, typically small invertebrates like live Daphnia, BBS and adult Brine Shrimp. Basically anything that can fit into their mouths, which are like suction tubes. Read this thread for more info regarding the breeding of these Pipefish:
