Just read about ODNO here. It is like overclocking CPU expect here you are over-powering the light tube instead .. Interesting. Has anyone tried this ?

I just did this last night. It is very simple and worth it. I followed this http://www.gpodio.com/overdrive_twin_strip.asp . Giancarlo Podio left me the link on aquabotanic forums. I went to Home depot and got the ballast and had it finished in about 20 mins. My tank looks a lot better now.

Do you see an increase in water temperature when using ODNO ?

I havent noticed one yet but I am sure it will increase it a little without any fans. The bulbs are a little hotter. I think if I add two 80 mm fans to the back of my hood it should cool it down a lot. I live in Louisianna so the temp. here is usally hot. My tank stays pretty warm, I am not sure how warm it is because my thermometer is apparently broken. The tank usally stays in the 80° F range. Uppers in the day and lowers at night. Since I did the odno on my hood my plants are pearling a ton. Its pretty cool.
