    Hi,

Theres some fuzz growing on my glosso, is it normal? Do i have to put in more algae eating fish? Right now i have only 2 otos and 1 sae and a cigar. Its similar to the fuzz growing on the side walls of the tank. Any ideas? Mines a 2ft shallow tank. High light, high CO2, high nutrients provided.

    Cheers

    Does it look like this,

In my case, having new gravel is the problem. The silicates in the gravel cause diatoms to appear on the fuzz algae. Do you have any other plants with the glosso? Any deficiencies seen in the glosso, yellow leaves? Fill this out for your tank,

Hi, I was just glancing thru your message on Glosso.
I don't have Algae fuzz on my glosso, but some of the leaves are yellowing.

Can anyone let me know why? I have 4 tubes of 30W lights on my 4 ft tank. The CO2 is about 4-5 Bubbles/sec. Based fert. and also weekly dose of Sera liquid fert.

    Why is my Glosso yellowing?

    Thanks.

i don't think u got enough light for your 4 footer. if your tank is 4x1.5x1.5, the min light u need is about 200W in order to grow glosso. now u only have 120W. Try to use PL so that u can pack more light with the limited space.

    Just my 2 cents.

yelllowing usually happens when little or no light reaches it, therefore usually the bottom layer will have afew yellow leaves.
