Does anyone here experience cloudy water after using seachem purigen? I did soak in water for a night before using it.

Could it be because I added morasu BT-9 as well which caused a bacteria boom?

The cloudy water is due to your addition of Mosura BT-9, its just the initial bloom from the newly introduced bacteria culture (very common when bacteria additives are used).

The water will eventually clear up within a day or two, sometimes faster depending on your filter performance.

The effect differs between different tanks...

What i found with bacteria additives is that if dosed into new tanks, there is usually alot more available "food" (ie. ammonia and waste) for the bacteria to feast on, so they multiply rapidly. How cloudy the water depends on the amount of "food" available.

The cloudy water represents all the excess bacteria that haven't found a surface to settle on yet.

Consequently, if the tank's filter is efficient and has lots of bio-media, the floating bacteria will find a place to live in quicker and the cloudy water will disappear faster, sometimes can be a matter of just a few hours, hence quite often we may not even notice it occurring.
