Last night was pruning night. Started out the pruning session cutting stalk by stalk shaping the Rotala Indica.

Two hours in, lost my patients and started barbering which was great! Super fast and within 15 minutes, it's all in shape and the right height.

Problem was the stem and leaves bits was everywhere!!! At first I used my fish net to scoop. What a nightmare it was as trying to get the bits off the net was a real pain and the time saved by barbering is all going to be wasted.

An idea came to mind...use my wife's tea sieve. It's small stiff and easy to just knock the bits off the sieve.

Cleared the bits really fast. Problem was I did not wash the sieve well enough and get an ear full this morning!

    Regretted planting the Indica....hahahhaa

Re: Rotala, My Wife and me

Mixing fish tank things with food stuff is a bit disgusting for my taste. Anyway, i use the fish net to scoop the small bits of leaves and plant matters, flip the net around facing the toilet bowl and use a strong hose to flush. Quite efficient. Just hose it until everything is remove.

But david, i have to give it you for creative thinking!

David......David..... you should know better... .
I remember i blew up my wife hair dryer when im doing a DIY project, i quietly place it back just like it is
and act like nothing happen. The next morning she told me that her hair dryer is not working and she look disappointed.
I told her i will buy her a new one because the guilt set in,she's so happy and immediately took out her hand phone and show me a pic of the hair dryer she wants, damm!!! It was an expensive lesson!

At least you got away with it and she would be delighted that you bought her a new one ever so willingly haha

Once you have a planted tank, you might never get away with the regular: "You spend more time facing your tank than facing me!!!!"

    Hahahaha....

What i meant is that if i use my wife's equipment to do something for my aquarium... like..

    1. using her food processor to dice up moss
    2. using her flour sieve to sieve up HM leaves or moss
    3. using her grinder to mince up algae wafers..
    etc..

I will get it from her.. jialat jialat..

Uncle....What is the difference putting moss to blend or water crest to blend? As long as you wash your moss...okay what!!! Hahaha

In fact all our veggie has more poop and pesticide than our aquatic plants

The threshold for everyone is different leh..... some people think mincing vegetables is disgusting, some think mincing moss in a food appliance is ok.
