i believe almost all tanks will have bits of algae here and there.no tank is completely algae-free.

i got those @%#@ bba after i neglect my co2.then once it hits u..u r almost 80% gone.so lesson learnt;co2 plays a very important part in preventing algae.try to get consistent co2 level and suitable bps according to ur lights wattage.10-20% water change weekly is very recommended.

so i decide to do an overhaul and change the whole outlook.but i still keep those 2 dw in another tank.will update the pic here tonite.now in office..hehe..

I was just wondering what kind of lighting are you using that gives you that great effect?

sorry for the very very late reply Simon.

the only maintenance im doing is trimming those wallichi and the one on the rite.(forgot its name already) :P
    and thats abt WEEKLY.

all the plants are co2 and light hungry species.have to pump like 2-3bps to keep them satisfied.

and yes...those are APP.im lazy to push them back in.they are growing very fast too.almost within a mth,im having almost double the amt i got from Teo.

will post updated pic soon once i got my hands on a DC.

Nice tank you have there. Any updates?

The plant you had on the right should be Caroliana Cabomba. It is a realy fast growing but great for beginners and to suck up excess nutrients.

I seem to have the plant on the left too. Is it Ludwigia Palustris?
