Petmart (Serangoon NOrtH) seems to have banana plant quite often. they sell them in the dry plastic bags beneath their overcrowded fish tanks. I think 4-5 bucks. Call to check before going.

From another thread, what's this about Ah Pek moving to what Mermaid? Catch no ball.

OK, bola lagi, catch good good hor.

Ah Pek will be moving into the Iwarna (spelling?) compound further down, the place with a mermaid sign outside. Should be sometime in April. He has a sign in his shop saying so.

The mermaid place already has a plant farm, proclaiming "wholesale and retail welcome", but don't bother to go there folks. The mermaid there very fierce, everything also not for sale, other than a couple of tubs of left-over lup-sarp. Wah lau, want to buy her plants some more must beg leh.

tawauboy, agree with you 100%. Even though the guys at Teo don't speak fancy language, but you can tell they are friendly and willing to help, even though you may be just buying a few things for 10-20 dollars. Some of those guys squatting there working on the plants may be covered with tattoos, but they will genuinely caution you to be careful of the wet ground, not to let the kids go too near the big pond, etc.

Aiyah, Orchard Rd where got this kind of service? Maybe this year we nominate Teo for tops in customer service []

Reason for that caution is because they dun want to jump into the smelly pond and rescue u and in the process, wet their 'ang kong'(tattoos).. hahahaha.. [] but they are really nice ppl..

Please do not bargain at teo's place cos the plants are cheap enough, we can usually get many plants at very cheap price.

We are getting offhand regarding the banana plant, BenTan you need to have base fert for your banana to grow well as they will establish long rooting system. I suggest if you want to get them, redo your tank. Oh ya remember about Co2.

havelock keong seong has them at $3.
    Cheers!
