Has anyone seen celestial pearl danios recently? Preferably in the East.

What is an ideal shoal size for this species?

Saw a lot of them at seaview. Well, the location is northeast. Also known as galaxy too.

At least 8-10 of them would be good (more will be better if your tank can support them), they'll be less shy and you'll get to see them more often (though they are usually still more shy and tend to hide alot more than other fishes).

Try to pick the ones with bright red fins, those are the males and they will show the best colors once acclimated to your tank.

I take that they are still regularly being brought into Singapore then? Presumably some will land in the east in the near future. Too lazy to travel whoops.

Are these guys good in tropical temperatures? The tank holding them will experience a nighttime fall to 24.

They are tropical fishes that originate from Myanmar, no issues with our local temperatures (as long as the temperature changes are gradual, not too sudden).

    Re: Danio margaritatus

Hmmm...it's basically because their type locality is a bit colder at I believe 20-26 degrees Celsius. But since yours have had no issues at tropical temps, then i will assume the same.

    Thanks!
