I have had this CO2 cannister for about 1 year. http://sg.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/...bum?.dir=/b93b

Bought it from Serangoon North. It is currently leaking, CO2 escaping badly (can hear hissing) from the open/close valve (Red knob). Few questions:

    a. Could it be the white washers as shown in the photos that is damage? therefore just change washer? If so, can a normal rubber washer do? CO2 react with rubber?

    b. Where can I get it serviced, if not the washer? Is it worth the cost?

    Pls advice. Thanks
    Peace & Tranquillity

best if you could bring it back where you bought it from. they should be able to advise you.
else bring it to a refiller. normally they would have the parts.

and you should not replace the white washer with normal rubber washer. rubber washer, being softer, will not seal properly.
btw, do you always turn on/off the main valve?

cbong: Wow - you dared to meddle with the taps? I saw in the pics that they have been dismantled. I won't like to do that with a high-pressure cylinder. Better get it to places like SOXAL or ChemGas for a check and repair.

I would advice you to go to a reputed gas cylinder supplier to get your cylinder fixed. The gas cylinder is a high pressure vessel and is potentially hazardous.
