Badis badis vs dario dario

Hi. I saw at y618 small 15mm percoid fishes in bags for sale. They look like dario dario. But I'm told by the guy there that they are badis badis. Can I tell for sure? Can a juvenile badis badis look like a dario dario in any way? I want to get dario but not badis for my nano fish community. I read somewhere that badis can kill a cory. Thanks!

Dario dario is small and reddish in color with stripes. Badis badis is much larger and usually bluish in color, occasionally appearing very dark depending on the condition of the tank at the LFS.

It is probably dario dario also known as scarlet badis.
And they dont harm cory.
