    Hi

I was wondering if they are the same shrimp but different name?

Because I am trying to look for yellow shrimp to be place in my RCS, correct me if I am wrong that these 2 different shrimp won't cross breed.

Not really sure if golden and yellow are the same, so many new variants come out.
Anyway both yellow and Red cherry shrimp are Neocaridina heteropoda so they will cross bred.

If you are referring to golden back shrimp, yes they are the same as yellow shrimp and red sakura shrimp. Golden crystal shrimp on the other hand wont crossbreed.

Re: golden shrimp and yellow shrimp

I think the term golden crystal shrimp is not commonly used here in Singapore and they known as snow white CRS. In any case, they are more white with a yellowish tinge than the yellow shrimps that you may have seen. Both yellow shrimps and golden back shrimps refer to the same shrimp (a color variation of Neocaridina Heteropoda, same as the RCS) and they will crossbreed with your RCS.
