Silicon safe for fish?

Hi all, just to check with you guys is it safe for fish?? I'm trying to diy something, will require to use silicon, so I need to ensure it's safe. Thanks all in advance

Not all silicon are safe... Look at the packaging description of the silicon before purchase, they will state that whether the silicon is aquarium safe or not. So far I have seen a few aquarium safe silicon on sale in our DIY store. To play safe, you can purchase the silicon from aquarium store. They should be aquarium safe. Do double check with the staffs before paying.

When buying silicone, look at the contents, it should be pure silicone and no other additives. LFS would sell but it cost alot more than what the hardware store has. Look around and you can find them. I just silicone my non weight bearing bracing - prevent splashing of water when aro gets excited lol

Just pure silicone. No other additives. Some brands like sellery's - not sure if i got the brand name spelt correctly. Will indicate that it is aquarium safe. OF has a silicone, green tubing but at the range of $6 per colgate tube. If you look at hardware store it will cost you $4 and above depending on brand

Some brands will indicate. Some will not. If buying from hardware shop do not fall for pressure selling. They will sure say it is safe just because it can be applied on glass.

Take your time and source for it. If your in north west area Y618 has them. If im too lazy i will usually buy there since its all in one stop for me hahaha.

So if i happen to see someone buying Silicone there i shall say hi hahaha, if you're there the shop just opposite NTUC sells Aquarium Safe Silicone, about $2 cheaper
