This might not be considered aquascape but I always wanted to do this.

Today I went to seaview to buy 2 pieces of drift wood and found one floating.

Then it reminded me of one of the floating landscape I saw before.

I stuffed the holes in the drift wood with styrofoam because I know it will sink someday. And I attach magnet behind so I can position it wherever I want.

Just one worry is whether styrofoam or magnet is dangerous to fish n shrimps?

Thats an interesting idea... kinda like the glass pot planters, but using a chunk of wood instead.

I guess styrofoam should be okay, though over time small bits might flake off and fishes might swallow it. Magnet should be okay too, but might slowly release metal content into the water.

Perhaps you could just get those small silicone suction cups from LFS and use them to attach the wood to the glass, it'll work well without any potential issues.

That's a good idea the silicone suction.

I might want to make a few more of these for fun now that I have an idea how it works.
