So today, I bought a pair of "blue rams" they are juveniles probably at the age of 2 months old. So question, at how old are they breedable ? Are they omnivorous ? Pic of my rams. IMAG0255.jpgIMAG0257.jpgIMAG0258.jpg

Noticed in your picture you have Cherry/Sakura shrimp. My experience is that Rams do not go well with Shrimp. Even if the shrimp is too big to swallow, they will harass them. For the first few days the rams will behave themselves as they are getting used to the new environment. After that, you will see their 'true' colours

I've ha the exact fish in my community tank since 3 weeks ago but it hasn't eat my tetrabits during feeding time. I'm wondering is it starving or it's feeding on something else. Anyone able to advise?

    Re: blue rams.

I have a pair of the exact same species of rams in my tank and i too have shrimps in my tank. From my experience, they wouldnt eat for the first few days in the tank. What i noticed was after awhile, they tend to pick at the sunken pellets for my loaches and they dont like to go to the surface to get food. But mine do go to the surface for food once in a blue moon.

So far, my rams hasnt been bothering my shrimps. They just enjoy chasing each other around in the tank and swimming through my plants. A real joy to see them flaring their fins to be honest. (:

    Re: blue rams.

I just make sure I scatter enough sunken pellets around the tank so that my shrimps and loaches can get their food (:
