    Hi folks,

Can anyone advice me how to clean the ceramic plate in the diffusor. The flow rate has cut down tremendously. I read somewhere that we can use bleech. Do we use 100% bleech or has to mix it with water. If so, what is the proportion to mix?

    Thanks.

Roughly 1 part bleach to 10 part water should do the job. Soak it for a few minutes or until the algae disappears.

Be careful not to soak the rubber seals if any. The bleach may cause it to harden.

Hot water should do the trick in getting rid of the residual chlorine.

Better still, put the glass diffuser in a pot to boil. The boiling forces out all the air in the gadget and fills it with water. So the chlorine, if any, is diluted or boiled away.

if your diffuser is not those that have a section of spiral, then you can use a syringe to 'pump' the trapped water. and use anti-chlorine and plenty of water to rinse.

Bleach is actually sodium hypochlorite solution. Hypochlorite is relatively unstable. In warm water, it will decompose. Soaking in warm water for a period of time will help to remove the chlorine.
