Good job.
My brother and I decided to tear down the old scape a month back (which provided a tremendous amount of learning) and combine our efforts on this new scape partly because of our shallow pockets. Still consider ourselves new to aquascaping even after all these years keeping fishes thus still learning to correctly identify plant names. Please feel free to comment and leave some tips to improve the scape!
The idea was centred around the idea of flora and fauna found in the South American regions (which eventually did not happen due to some plant selection).
Tank size: 90x45x45cm
Lighting: 4x39W Osram T5HO
Co2: Approximately 1.5bps
Filter: Eheim Professional 2224
Substrate:
1. ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia (Normal and powdered types)
2. SUDO Bottom Sand
Flora:
1. Anubias barteri 'petite'
2. Staurogyne repens
3. Lilaeopsis brasiliensis (Brazilian micro sword)
4. Blyxa japonica
5. Echinodorus amazonicus (Amazon sword)
6. Marsilea quadrifolia (?)
7. Green and red Nymphaea zenkeri
8. Hygrophila corymbosa (?)
9. Pogostemon stellata
Almost half of the water surface was filled with frogbits and salvinia natans which I recently removed due to some plants not growing well.
Fauna (in progress after a month):
1. Carnigiella strigata / marbled hatchetfish (water level lowered to prevent jumping/flying)
2. Corydoras hastasus
3. Corydoras pygmaeus
4. Otocinclus
I plan to add more corydoras hastasus in stages and probably a bolivian ram or apistogramma pair.
Looking forward to your comments!
Good job.

Nice Amazon style setup. I feel that the depth of your soil is not high enough for rooted plants if you intend to grow some in your scape.
Your scape looks nice! Can't wait for it to mature. Do keep us updated on it's progress.

Apek very nice..
you better start head count on the hatchet fish..
I've been warned too many times! Lets hope the scape matures well to give them a reason to stay in the tank!
Anyway, staurogyne repens are carpeting well at both sides of the tank. The ones in the middle are showing slow growth at the moment. I've moved around some of the rocks to add more "perspective" leaving some areas of the soil bare. Looking to add more plants when I have time to get some.
Any recommendations? 😊

I like hatchet fishes! Very much. I have not stop keeping them since 2000. One of my tank will always have hatchet.. be it black wing, marbled, silver, spotted silver : ) Yes, there are many kinds of hatchet. They are super peaceful

Thanks bro!
Still new in the hobby! This is my second attempt at a staurogyne carpet after purchasing from bro felix last year. Wasn't successful that time round. Hope this time is much better!
Great! Care to share what plant selection you have in mind?
