    Hey guys,

    I've noticed this weird growth in my tank. Anyone knows what it is?

    Thats slime mold... a sort of fungus species. The spores probably hitchhiked in on plants or equipment that you recently added into your tank.

    The slime mold feeds mainly on organic matter in the tank, so it may appear to move around as it consumes stuff. Best way to remove is by just manually picking it out. Cleaning the tank surfaces, decrease feeding and doing more frequent water changes to reduce the amount of excess organic matter in the tank also helps too. Once there is no more "food" for it to consume, it'll naturally just die off on its own.
