Hydrogen Peroxide not sodium peroxide
Substrate is RAC active soil
Hey guys! Here's a look at my first tank.
Just 24 begin with so I'm a total noob and some stuff might be wrong so do comment on how I can improve the tank.
Here are the specs.
Tank Specifications:
- 200x200x250mm
- Internal filter system (all behind the white plastic)
- LED lights
Added
- Cooling Fan 1000
- 2nd hand oxygenator (sodium peroxide) from shrimp shop
Plants
- Hygrophila Difformis
- some $3 moss from the fish shop. (washed and took some small pieces only)
Water Conditions
- 159ppm
- 26 degrees.c (used ice packets to cool the water down)
For now I'm insulating the sides to prevent heat from coming in.
Shrimps
- 10 female stripe CRS
- 2 Hino no entry
- 2 flowerhead
Currently they are quite active going around the tank exploring and nibbling on the wood.
Substrate, minerals
- RAC Humic acid and some other RAC product which is grey in colour
- ADA substrate (not the fine one)
- I've also added Speed Sand by lowkeys in my filter rocks
- GH mineral balance x4 by lowkeys
Food
- Shrimp Wafers by Ocean Nutrition
What I would like to know:
- Survival rate with my current settup and any minor improvements I can do to it.
- Will sudden changes in temperature harm my babies? E.G using ice pack to cool the water down
- How much shrimp wafers do I feed them a day?
What I'm planning to do:
- DIY peltier cooler
Feedback Please!

Did u cycle the tank?
If I were u..ill rather use a fan to cool down..rather than ice packs...
