    anyone know where i can get good quality rummy? been to many aquarium shops but it seems that the good ones are all not for sale. they keep it for their own tank.

    the ones that they sell have very faint red on the head. and very small portion as well.
    those in their tanks is blood red and covers a big portion of the head. those are what i'm looking for..

    There are at least 3 species of fish known as "rummy-nose tetras", each with a slightly different finnage pattern, as well as differing degrees and coverage of red colour. Please dont refer to this as good or bad. Just look for the right species.

    Anyway, like many other fishes, rummy-noses won't show their full colours in many crowded LFS tanks (compared the colours in their show tanks). I think if your own tanks are maintained well, the fish will colour up nicely in them after a while.

    Anyone knows where i can find rummy with a large portion of red on the head?

    You can try c328. The larger one at $1 per piece.

    I bought 8 and the color is showing when it got used to the tank.

    It is almost the whole face.

    But there are only around 20 pieces left.

    the colouration on the tetras will show once they are stable down.
    also intensity of the light will play a part.
    including other stuffs like temp, pH etc.
